Studies show that Semaglutide helps with:
According to Robert Kushner, MD, professor of medicine and medical education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago “Semaglutide is the most impactful medication for the treatment of obesity, with 32% of participants losing at least 20% of their initial weight…It could be a game changer for those who struggle with obesity, which affects over 40% of American adults.” (1)
Semaglutide is a once-weekly injectable prescription medication. It’s an FDA approved peptide for weight management. Unlike many other weight loss medications, this medication can be used for long-term weight loss management. Semaglutide is a class of GLP-1 agonists that have been effectively used since 2005. They act within our body with actions that lead to better sugar metabolism, better eating hormone management, and noticeable weight loss.
Although there are multiple medications in this class, there is one that is the best and has become extremely popular and sought after. This medication is called Semaglutide.
Semaglutide was then patented and branded under the name Ozempic and Wegovy.
Semaglutide is indicated for chronic weight management in patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 27 kg/m2 or greater who have at least one weight-related ailment or in patients with a BMI of 30 kg/m2 or greater. If you are healthy and not pregnant or lactating, or do not have a known allergy to any of the ingredients, you should be able to use it safely. However, make sure to discuss with your health care professional any other medications you are taking or any allergies or chronic health conditions you have prior to using semaglutide. Tell your provider if you or anyone in your family has or has ever had MTC or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2; a condition that causes tumors in more than one gland in the body).
During your consultation a Registered Nurse will go over your health history and our provider will determine if Semaglutide is right for you.
