Treat Acne, Scars, Wrinkles, Stretch marks...
COSMO
Pen is a state-of-the-art medical grade high speed micro-needling System. It offers the same results as a fractional laser without pain, downtime, expense, and thermal damage.

COSMOPen can be used to treat acne and surgical scars—including keloids—as well as wrinkles, stretch marks, pore size, and signs of aging.

Additionally, by vertically piercing the skin, COSMOPen helps naturally induce collagen production and treat pigmentation.

MicroNeedling, also called Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is an aesthetic medical procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles (microneedling the skin) in order to induce endogenous production of cutaneous collagen.

Percutaneous collagen induction ( PCI ) therapy or medical microneedling is a technique where a fractional microneedling device with fine microneedles has been shown to increase the remolding of the skin by creating thousands of microscopic channels through the skin, to increase the formation of new tissue by activating the body’s wound healing cascade (hemostasis-inflammation-proliferation-tissue remodeling). It is also referred to as a non-ablative skin treatment. This means that the deeper parts of the skin are treated without removing the top layer of skin. It is designed to treat various skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, light scarring from acne and photo damage, and to improve skin color and other skin texture changes.

Is There Downtime After A Micro-needling Session?

Is There Downtime After A Micro-needling Session?

Is There Downtime After A Micro-needling Session?

There really isn’t a true  Downtime

( “recovery” time)  after our microneedling sessions. Immediately following your session, your skin will appear red and flushed, as if you have a mild sunburn. The degree of redness correlates to how many passes are made over the area and the depth of the needle penetration. This redness usually passes by the next day. You may have some slight swelling, and your skin will feel a little tight for a day or so. If you can arrange it, it’s a good idea to have your microneedling session as an after-work procedure. That way, your skin can calm down overnight.

  • Up to 24 hours- Erythema, petechiae, minor edema
  • 1-2 days- Mild erythema, petechiae, reduced edema, minor itching, dry/tight sensation
  • 2-3 days- reduced erythema, fading of petechiae, dissipated edema, reduced itching. Minor skin flacking
  • 3-4 days- potential slight dryness
  • 4-5 days- full recovery with normalized function
